Row-dee-oh!

Can I just say that I love rodeos!! The summer games came through yet again to bring me happiness! I got the chance to go with my friend Jessica to the Wendy Wood Memorial Rodeo, the Summer Games closing ceremonies. I was distraught when we found out there wouldn't be fireworks, but nonetheless, we had a great time!!

One of my most favorite things to do is people watch. And what a great thing to do at a rodeo! Not only did I get to spend my Friday night with a great friend, but we got to learn so much about cowboy life! We also got to go again the following night...it was totally rufus!!

Jessika and I learned really quick that we were rookies at this whole rodeo scene. Jessika was a little more on top of things because she had her boots on, but we still have a lot to learn! But don't worry, we are already making preparations for our next rodeo extravaganza so we don't look like such amateurs!

So thank you to everyone that made my rodeo outing a great one to remember!! I will probably never see you until the next rodeo but until then, git-r-done!!

Ballin'

First off today I would like to thank the people that put on the Summer Games. Were it not for them, I would not be as happy as I am right now. These past few weeks have been quite rough on the ole Krazy Kait. To sum up a few things that have taken place to make my head droop...

I hit a coyote on my way to work. It demolished my front bumper and it was pretty pricey to fix. Luckily, the guys at Premier Auto are amazing at fixing cars, so my car is back in business.

Then I had the opportunity to hang out with my friend Megan and guess what...I locked my keys in my car!! Don't you hate that?? I know I do. Luckily, I have amazing Macgyver skills and broke into my car within a matter of minutes.

Then as I sat watching the NBA finals I literally threw up in my mouth when the Lakers won. I HATE the Lakers and wanted the Celtics to win so bad!! But they couldn't quite cut it, I just couldn't catch a break!

Which brings me back to being grateful for the Summer Games. Everyone has a passion in their lives. Something they live for, mine just so happens to be basketball. Thanks to the Summer Games I have been able to get over being so down with life. As I was on my way to work, I walked through the Centrum to get out of the wind. While I was walking I heard the sound that is music to my ears....a basketball bouncing on a court!!
Basketball brings me so much happiness!! I could watch it for days on end! Call me crazy, but basketball is what gets inside me. It's what lights me up, and I can't deny that. (Kudos to Jimmy Dugan) There are games going on in the Centrum and seeing how I work on campus, I am able to catch a minute or two, to give me that boost of energy to make it though the day.

Addiction

The first step to recovery is admitting you have a problem...so here it goes. My name is Kaitlin Livingston and I have a problem; I am addicted to Tetris!!

Oh man alive I could play this game for hours on end!! I may or may not see Tetris pieces when I close my eyes and concentrate....I may or may not have the theme song playing in my head at random times during the day...SO WHAT??!

I recently got my personal best score on Facebook Tetris!! I was in the zone and all of the hours of practicing and visualizing my strategic game plan finally paid off!! I am the current leader of my fellow facebooking friends. YEAHYA!! (Can you tell I'm a little competitive?)

Some people may not find this situation being as big of an accomplishment and I do, but I ask that we set aside our differences and that you all rejoice with me during this time of success, happiness, and joy. Thank you :)

(A closer look at my number one ranking on Tetris Friends-Facebook.)
